Why: Orchids from all over the world.
Price: $10 per adult entry, orchids are sold seperately.
We are even letting you in on a secret...Sunday is the best day to attend as vendors want to get rid of supplies/plants and will sell for half off.

Suenalo @ Picnic Park West
Come on out to Miami Lakes Picnic Park West to enjoy music from our fave Miami band, SUENALO! Also, performances by Elastic Bond. Food trucks will be on site but no word yet on which are heading to the location. So grab your amigos, amigas, and familia, take a cooler with some dranks, blankets/picnic chairs, and enjoy music and spring.

Tamiami Orchid Festival
Where: Dade County Fair Expo Center, 10901 Coral Way, Miami, Fl 33165
What: Tamiami International Orchid Festival
Why: International and national orchids for sale, orchid crafts and supplies, free lectures/classes.
Bling ($): $9 per adult, cash only, and children under 12 are free.
Days: Jan. 28 (10 am-8 pm) & 29 (10 am-6 pm).

South Beach Dachshund Winterfest
Listen up dog lovers! It's time for the yearly South Beach weiner dog festival. All dogs are welcomed but expect tons of weiners to be walkin' around.
Where: Between 11 and 12 street on Ocean Drive. If lost follow the barking!
When: Sat, Jan 21 12:00-2:00 p.m.
What: Fun activities like contest,play area, and fortune telling for weiners and their owners.
Why: Both owners and pets will enjoy socializing with others as well as the beautiful SoBe weather.

Food Trucks are back in ML!
The food trucks are back at the Miami Lakes Auto Mall!
Where: 1660 NW 57 Ave. Miami Lakes, Fl 33014
When: Sept 9, 5:30-10:00 pm
Why: Great food and a talent show, too! First prize wins $1,000!
Who: Everyone and their mom will be at this event.
If you've gone to the last two events held at this location you know its a great time for the community to come together or people watch. So bring out your chairs and coolers and enjoy food from over 30 food trucks. Go prepared by looking up menus on the new food truck app. If you have a smart phone go to the app store and under search, type FTT and download the food truck tracker app filled with menus and pics.
See you all there!
* Make sure to stop by the Sugar Yummy Mama truck and try her "sticky lips" dessert. It is DEE-LICIOUS!

Amelia Earhart Biking Improvements
We received this in the mail yesterday and wanted to share it with you all.
What: Meeting to discuss improvements of the mountain bike trails
Where: The Earhart Hall at the Farm Village in Amelia Earhart Park
When: 3/24/11, from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
For those of you who enjoy the trails and wish for improvements this is the time to state your opinion. Entrance to the park is free M-F.
