No Doubt w/ Paramore and The Sounds

Last Wednesday I attended the No Doubt concert - currently touring with Paramore - at the Cruzan Amphitheater in West Palm Beach. The band has not toured or collaborated in over 5 years, after the band mates decided to focus on individual careers for some time. Now on tour, they do not sing of a new album, but to gain inspiration from their fans to write.

The Sounds opened up for both artist and it was my first time hearing of them. They performed about a 20 minute set and I was left wanting to purchase their c.d. Paramore performed for about 30-40 minutes. The set included the more popular songs "CrushCrushCrush","That's What You Get" and “Misery Business” from their c.d. titled, Riot. Ending the show with "I Caught Myself" ( featured in the movie, Twilight) the teeny chicas were going crazy, as I'm sure images of Edward Cullen were coming into mind. Nonetheless, the band proved they have enough star quality and talent to stick around for the long run. Look out for lead singer, Hayley, as she is a star in the making.

No Doubt was nothing less than amazing! They played their greatest hits album, starting the night off with "Spiderwebs," continued by hits like "Don't Speak" and "Just a Girl". The stage design was amazing, with a huge movie screen featuring short fun movie clips, music videos, and personal videos of No Doubt during performances that made for great visual effects. Gwen Stefani was super nice as she took the time to autograph and accept gifts from fans standing up front. Stefani showed off her 10 pushups (famous from the Tragic Kingdom tour), and drummer Adrian put on his old time ballerina tutu with black lipstick on his lips. No Doubt was full of energy, personality, and talent, proving they had not lost anything throughout the career break apart. There was not an empty seat in the house, including the lawn, and everyone was on their feet. I am sure fans are eagerly awaiting the next album and tour as much as I am. Here are my favorite pictures.
